Hike
The Kerry Way is a long-distance trekking trail in County Kerry, Ireland. It is a 214-kilometer (133-mile) long circular route that begins and ends in Killarney. It is typically completed in nine days. The Way circles the Iveragh Peninsula and forms a walker’s version of the Ring of Kerry. It is the longest of Ireland's National Waymarked Trails. The trailhead in Glenbeigh passes mere steps from An Capall Bán.
Walk
Glenbeigh is a walker’s paradise, offering all levels of walks and hill walks. The various walks are different in time and scenery. Trekkers can enjoy a relaxing stroll on the blue flag beach of Rossbeigh or a nature walk through the forest with some circular routes along lazy country roads. Trek
The traverse of the Reeks ridge is probably Ireland’s finest walk, winding along the high ridge of the entire range for some 26km and taking in 8 of Ireland’s 10 highest mountains. Walk along the high ridge of this line of green-brown hills, its ramparts a series of long grassy slopes and captivating lakes. It is a tough walk, for the fit and experienced only.

Cycle
The Ring of Kerry is a perfect cycle route if that's more your speed. It has gained popularity due to the annual Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle event hosted on the first Saturday of July each year. Thousands of cyclists compete with all skill levels welcome to enjoy the scenery and the challenge. Consisting of 106 miles over 4 days, this is not for the faint of heart.

Climb
Carrauntoohil Mountain on the Iveragh Peninsula is a stone’s throw from Glenbeigh. Soaring up to 3,407 ft, Carrauntoohil is the highest mountain in Ireland and is part of the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks. The length of the climb varies between 6 and 8 hours, depending on which of the Carrauntoohil routes you take. Climbing Carrauntoohil should only be attempted by experienced climbers or by those accompanied by a guide.
